#7 Much Ado About Technology

Have to say all the things we did this week were lots of fun and I could see someone getting caught up, spending a lot of time doing stuff. It wasn't that complicated once you set some time aside to play. Although I think it's interesting and I can see the applications of these tools I can never see myself as a person on myspace or facebook or any other social networking tool for pleasure. I don't have enough time for the people a really like, let alone hundreds of "friends" in cyberspace. No, I'd rather be outside. Not that I begrudge anyone who is well into it, but it's just not for me. Kids get it because they've grown up with it, it's part of their lives. I would have to make a concerted effort to incorporate it into my life and it's not gonna happen.
As for shopping on the net on sites like shopbop and revolveclothing well that's another thing. Don't get me started.......That Marc Jacobs top and those Hudson jeans were just too much of a bargain to pass up. Now where are those Frye boots and those Chanel sunglasses?

This was good fun. I loved mucking around with photographs and putting text on them. I can think of a million uses for this tool. I guess it's only bound by your own imagnation.

Beautiful Positano. Planning to be there some time next year. This photo with the storm clouds is gorgeous. So may photos to choose from on Flickr, so many clever photographers. Wish some of my holiday snaps looked like this.....

#3 and #4 - I Am Born....

Having just returned from holidays I'm madly trying to catch up with everyone. I listened to the podcasts, wrote down the 71/2 habits of lifelong learning, tried to memorise them, but of course forgot them the minute I went on to something else and now have set up my blog. I have to say the hardest part was thinking of a name for it. I wanted it to be clever but not trying too hard. I wanted it to look like it just happened, you know? Thanks to The Cure for the inspiration.
As someone who never really got the whole chat, blog, gaming thing, this is going to be an interesting ride. Maybe I'll learn something and then my poindexter and I will have something to talk about.
